I'm going to be admittedly harsh... but there was nothing in the Miljevic performance that warrants another opportunity like this. He needs to put together 18 months of problem-free professionalism (i.e., doesn't have his contract terminated, or piss off his manger) before the US even sniffs him again. I'll admit that when he stole the early penalty from McGlynn, and then wasted it, I put him right on my shitlist. It didn't help that he competed so few passes and lost possession at an absurdly high rate. I know he scored. But for me, all that does is buy him a plane ticket back to Argentina, instead of leaving him on the curb as the team plane leaves the tarmac. Not a fan.
I'm with you on Luna. He's got a profile and skill set that we have precious little of in our player pool. I would much rather give him the chance to develop on the international stage. But nobody pays me to make those decisions, so I'll just sip my drink and let Poch do his thing.
Loved seeing Pat's first outing. Man, I don't think I have ever hate watched a USMNT game in my entire life, but if Matko plays again...then it will be twice. Should never have been called up and the performance backs it up.
For everyone saying, yeah Luna actually gets back on de and works his tail off as a disruptor- send Pablo (and staff) some love for patiently coaching him up 2 years ago when a LOT of RSL fans (myself included) were howling for him to get more minutes.
This was my first time really watching Agyemang...intriguing and as a D3 grad I love his story, but you're not concerned about his control? Never felt like he knew quite where his next touch was taking him. Kinda wish the player I was watching was 19 or 20 instead of 24.
If Patrick Agyemang impresses even more in this camp and has a big year for Charlotte, do you think he could move into that fringe player that makes a roster for the A team?
Obviously Pepi, Balogun, Sargent, Wright, Vazquez would be ahead of him. But he has a very unique profile given his size, speed, skill with his feet (was a winger in college).
If he plays this well again on Wednesday, then scores 15-20 goals for Charlotte while sharpening his movement (what I talked about in the clip above), then he’s got a legit shot to make the 2026 roster.
Miles also progressed the ball forward with dribbling and stepping into midfield. He also got on the end of set pieces with no end product but still. He was alway sloppy with the ball but he had a good outing as well

I think we may go with “P Hive” in Charlotte, testing out ideas.

I agree with you, but I doubt Poch does.
I was worried you would say that...

He was the full package out there today, imo.

And I think that movement will come with more reps. Working another full season with Dean (and perhaps some work with Zaha) should do a world of good!
Well, let's just hope that Dean doesn't force Zoran to sign a DP 9 who'll play over Pat. Unfortunately there is, I'm told, a real chance that happens.

Any thoughts on Pereira from this? Kind of rough from him on the opening McGlynn goal …
He looked like a guy early in his preseason.
