Long suffering DCU STH here looking for any semblance of hope. Will '25 just be another lost year for the Black and Red, or do you still believe in the long-term vision of Mackay? Know there were a lot of bad contracts to get out of, the club just feels like its in a perpetual state of "rebuilding".
Right now I just don't see a path for this team as currently constructed. Benteke and Herrera are the only plus starters, and the guys they brought in last year – Peltola, Enow, Schnegg – didn't show much. And now their two most exciting academy prospects have been sold.
They'll play hard, but I don't know. Feels like another lost year.
Betis also has Hector Bellerin who as an Arsenal fan I've always liked but also just seems like a cool dude overall. Plus there was a great Copa 90 doc there years ago.
As a #cf97 fan I think you have them too high but that might just be superstition and paranoia. It's the hope that kills you.
Yeah I just really think that Berhalter will fix the defense. It's been his M.O. everywhere, and once you get that sorted, then they actually have attackers who can do stuff.
