NGL, I thought the best part of Minnesota was that they were organized and compact in defense. I was a little surprised to see the comment that they aren't a good defense.
The comment is that they're not a *great* defense. You can still get at Minnesota and pull them apart if you can possess the ball through central midfield and make them chase (see LAFC's week 1 goal), which is supposed to be Montreal's M.O. under Courtois.
1. Watching Phillies' attach smashing like this gave me real joy.
2. I think Lucho is not getting on the ball/trying to get on the ball as often as he did last year, which I thought was quite interesting.
3. Pedro Gallese probably had the worst 10-12 games' stretch for keepers in the league's history at the start of last year. Yet,he got his 1-million-dollar option picked up and performed like he was still in his hibernation when collecting a -3 xG saved in the first two league games of this year.
Gallese was bang average in the second half of last year which would probably be good enough for Orlando to be a 50ish-point team again. But yeah, they'll need much better from him than he's shown this season, and the first half of last year.
I need to dial in on him a little bit more. For what it's worth I'm not sure I see the discipline part (assuming you mean tactical discipline) so far, but I'll look for it.
Montreal Impact lol
Always.

But they never came close to doing that.

Jovan Lukic is the real deal, Doyle. Martinez without the bullshit (which I loved) and way more discipline.

Tactical and emotional (not looking to fight people everytime he gets into a tackle). Not to "pimp my own stuff" but here all of his 97 touches from this weekend against Cincy: https://x.com/JoserNunez91/status/1896753649784643727?t=omKcxv7dKhw2uFA80e8vGw&s=19
