As a CITY fan, Critchley has them playing more enjoyable-to-watch soccer than Olaf did, but maaaaaan it would be nice not to watch this team continue to shoot itself in the foot. Injuries (and Lowen's situation) have just riddled this team, but we desperately need a six (and probably another eight) and Durkin- event when fully healthy- isn't it at that position. And I don't even know what happened to Cedric Tuechert. He's fallen off a cliff and just looks completely ineffective (as does Xande Silva... woof)

Really need to clear out space and have a solid window

I get what you're saying, but I wouldn't be comfortable letting Pfannenstiel have another window. He's torn down and rebuilt the team over the past three, and they've just gotten worse.

I think you keep the powder dry for the winter and then do a full org overhaul.

I’d be concerned about the quality you can get in the winter vs the summer (assuming you convince players to come here this summer). Don’t think you can wait and hope to get the same level in the middle of most leagues’ seasons.

Does Atlanta need a new coach to solve its issues or is the player make-up not so great?

I think it's both. Miranchuk is a bust, and Miggy might be as well. I'm giving Latte Lath a pass b/c he's a striker who scores goals from functional context, and everything about Atlanta's been dysfunctional this year.

Other than that... is there a single starter on this team? Maybe the left back? But the rest of it... nobody's made a case for themselves at all. Manager included.

We have reached the lofty heights of 25th place. And I can now finally stop saying "there's nowhere to go but up!"

I'll hang it right next to the MLS Cup 2026 banner when next season proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Greg Vanney Boom Bust Coaching Cycle is real.

How far do you think the Galaxy can climb now that they remember how to play soccer? Are they just way too far out of the 9 spot to potentially content for playoffs?

There's a narrow path. Their attacking talent is clearly good enough to just string together some wins, and it's not like the teams in front of them are particularly good.

I'd bet against it, mind you. But the book's not closed yet.

So you're saying there's a chance!

Thanks for the answer. I'm hopeful, but not expectant that the Galaxy can at least make the end of the season interesting. Interested to see which (if any) of their younger players that were brought in to replace last year's expensive vets step forward, now that they've had enough time to acclimate. Gotta at least give enough hope for 2026 that we're building in the right direction.

No love for Cincy all year. More points than any other team gets you #6.

It's the Power Rankings, not the standings.
