As I wrote last week, there are a lot of good reasons to leave Substack if you’re writing a newsletter – which, obviously, I am.
And so this newsletter, which I began over a year ago now, has a new home: TacticsFreeZone.com,1 which is hosted on Ghost (an open-source, non-profit, less evil version of Substack).
Since I made that announcement I’ve gotten a few-hundred new subscribers here and a bunch of new pledges. And I appreciate that so much! Thank you to every single one of you.
But this site is permanently mothballed, and I’m never going to turn on payments on here for the reasons listed in that farewell column. Payments, however, are already turned on over on at the new TacticsFreeZone.com. We’ve got a thriving and growing community of generous and good-looking people.
So if you want to support my work, click through and sign up for a paid subscription there. I also suggest removing your pledge from this site.
One note: Since the emails will be coming from a new house, your email provider (Gmail, Outlook, etc.) might bin them. To make sure that doesn’t happen, please do the following:
Check your Spam/Promotions folder: If you don’t see Tuesday’s email in your primary inbox, it might be hiding there.
“Mark as Not Spam”: If you find it in the shadows, move it to your inbox.
Add my Ghost account to your contacts: Adding that email address to your “Safe Senders” list is the best way to ensure they don’t get flagged in the future.
