I should mention that I'll try to answer all comments on these posts. Interaction is good for the soul.

Really love this idea Matt, been reading your articles and analysis religiously for a decade since I started following the league. Can’t wait for more (and yes please more USMNT content as well!).

My most astute USMNT observation at the moment: It is better and we are better when Gio Reyna is not crippled. I sure hope he stays not crippled.

He’s so so good and fun to watch. Him healthy is one of the better remaining “I have no idea what he’s about to do” young lads we have

I’ll ask a question since you’ve offered - if the rumors about Deila to Atlanta United are true - who on the current roster is an especially good fit for his system and who is a poor fit?

He's been flexible enough so that there's no one who really stands out as an especially good or an especially bad fit. If I had to pick one, though, it might be Slisz. Not sure he's good enough positionally to be the 6, not sure he's good enough on the ball to be the 8.

More broadly, do you like the possibility of Deila to Atlanta?

MIssed this originally: Yes I do. I think he'll do a good job of just putting his best players in their best spots, and given who's calling the shots in that front office now, he's going to have some very, very good players.

Also would Deila stripping in Magic City after Atlanta United wins a trophy be the greatest story in MLS history?

This is great, glad to have a reliable way to get all your coverage. You're the primary reason I've followed MLS for the last decade-ish, your writing and analysis are both top-notch. Definitely agree with the others who want more USMNT content!

I am someone who would pledge if I knew how much content I was pledging to access here rather than on the league website. Not asking for it to be public now, just explaining that 1) I will and 2) why I haven't yet. All of your reasons for doing this here rather than X make perfect sense to me.

Cheers!

Glad I found this Matt, I have always enjoyed your takes on MLS and USMNT. I don't understand why everyone is so down on Twitter(X)... I think its great. The old site was literally suppressing opinions it's staff (or the government) didn't like. How is fixing that bad? If I see a dummy(in my opinion) I mute or scroll on:)

This is great, the Zach Lowe of MLS! Will your posts here be “off-book” from your official MLS work? Can’t wait to see where this goes.

I will write with what I'd consider a bit more freedom than I have at MLS, but also, I will try not to get myself fired.

Still waiting on the soccer Internet to improve on reading one SAG post per page, but this'll do for now. Happy to follow you here or wherever else Matt, cheers
